Meet your Practitioner

Katia’ Hofheins is a Board-Certified Structural Integration practitioner, Certified Rolfer®, ScarWork™ therapist, in a private practice.

My journey as a bodyworker began with a background in Health Studies at PSU and an active lifestyle: running, teaching yoga, fitness competing, which led me naturally to transition my studies and graduation at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute, in Boulder, Colorado.

As an athlete who has experienced injuries and pain, I met and worked with a Rolfer (years before I became a Rolfer myself) and learned that my pain and tension were a result of an overall pattern of imbalance occurring within. Rather than treating the pain or tension “symptom” of this imbalance, Structural Integration | Rolfing® focused on rebalancing my entire body, returning it to a more aligned, relaxed and youthful state. Balance is not a static condition; it is a process of constant flux – a fluid expression of wholeness and ease.

Today as a practitioner, I am profoundly thankful for the opportunities and obstacles that brought me to this space, working intricately with fascia, increasing the potential for clients from all walks of life, to find ease and change in their bodies.

Through seminars, continued education and hands-on practicums I continue to dedicate my hands and heart to assisting the human body; with the way we breath, move, walk through our lives and how each piece collectively makes us whole.

I love this practice of bodywork and am forever grateful for the people that I meet along the way.

Although our bodies are incredibly wise and ever-healing, it can be painful and difficult to be in this physical body of wisdom, especially when we experience pain; it may seem that our bodies are betraying us, moving and breathing in way we do not understand. We are in a hurry to move; we have places to go and be and no time for this discomfort.

If you decide to schedule session at my practice, please know that I am committed to welcome each person compassionately, kindly, with knowledge and to honor the client’s goals, in a timeline that best suits the treatment plan and the client.

Bodywork is a collaboration between practitioner and client. As a Board-Certified Structural Integrator / Rolfer, my intention is to provide supportive and intelligent bodywork while creating a safe and contained space for the body to remember its own self-healing mechanisms.
